Who We Are

Choice Housing Trust is an independent housing association and a Not-For-Profit charitable organisation that was set up in 2004 by Robert Mellors. We are registered and regulated as a "not for profit" organisation with Companies House.

We are based in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, but have properties in various locations around the country, with the majority in Sheffield.

We offer a few self-contained general needs housing, but mainly specialise in shared supported housing for single people. We accept referrals from a wide range homelessness organisations, as well as statutory services such as Local Authorities, NHS, and Probation.

What We Do

Choice Housing Trust lease residential properties from owner landlords, usually on a series of 6 year renewable leases, and this enables Choice Housing Trust to respond quickly to the housing needs of individual applicants, while offering the maximum security and income consistency to the property owners. In addition to letting properties, Choice Housing Trust also offers support to its residents in the areas of welfare benefits, debt management, employment, health, and housing. This support is offered to all residents free of charge, regardless of their income.

Choice Housing Trust currently advertise self-contained property vacancies, e.g, general needs family homes, on the usual property letting websites such as Rightmove and Zoopla.

Our supported housing vacancies are usually advised to the referring homelessness organisations via email, who will then make referrals to us.
