The Immanuel Project

Bradford

Our Story

The Immanuel Project began in the winter of 2010, in response to the needs of those on the streets of Bradford who needed a place to go, and a warm meal during the coldest time of the year. Although intended to be solely set-up for a few weeks, the project stayed open. It is now a registered charity and continues to go from strength to strength!

We trust you will enjoy finding out more about us, and if we can help you any further do not hesitate to contact us.

What We Do

The Immanuel Project has recently moved and is now based at The Immanuel Centre

The Immanuel Centre

29/31 Westgate

Bradford

BD1 2QT

We open our doors to guests Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 to serve breakfast and then remain open, serving a 2 course hot lunch around 12.

Our guests can engage with many and varied activities services at our Hub and meet a variety of agencies from housing, drug and substance abuse, mental health and welfare services. We also offer many in-house services which can vary week to week, these include hairdressing, a clothing bank, literacy teaching and allied health services such as a mobile doctors surgery and a chiropodist.

We also run our Happiness Groups led by our own First Aid Mental Health Trainer, which is hugely popular.

Our aim is pure and simply, to show love and acceptance to the variety of friends who join us. And to help us achieve this, we have an incredible team of volunteers from a wide variety of backgrounds around Bradford who help us to do what we do.
