Notts Help Yourself

Nottingham

If you work with local people, or need information yourself as a resident of Nottinghamshire, then www.nottshelpyourself.org.uk is the best place to start.

This website is designed to help people find information about a whole range of organisations and services including:

  • activities, groups and events in your local community
  • childcare providers
  • support for children and young people aged 0 – 25 with a special educational need and / or a disability
  • health and social care information and support for adults and children
  • workplace health schemes.

The website is compatible with smart phones and tablets, so you can find information when you are on the move. If you are a social worker, youth worker or carry out another front-line role, you may wish to use the website when you meet with members of the public to let them know about services that might be appropriate to them.

You can filter the information using a range of options including the type of service you’re interested in, the location of that service, the age group it provides for, or any particular type of need or disability that it would need to cater for.

If you know someone in the community who might benefit, but they don’t have a computer, they can access Notts Help Yourself in any local library or children’s centre. People can also call the Council’s Customer Service Centre on 0300 500 80 80 / Relay UK:  0115 977 4050 where one of our advisors can help.
